TMDA offers Australian Conservatoire of Ballet classical ballet training and examination program, based on the Russian Vaganova method. This world renowned method teaches poise, grace, precise technical movements; strength and confidence, the mastering of classical ballet steps and the understanding of its ethereal qualities.
This is high energy, fun loving movement to popular music styles while learning and displaying a good technique. Strength and flexibility are essential and the brain learns to think very accurately and quickly.
Tap is a wonderful dance component that develops a particular dance skill all of its own while developing extraordinary musicality. Speed and articulation of movement becomes very exciting for students while enveloped in difficult but fun tap steps and movements.
Classes available just for boys to concentrate on boy’s style and appreciation within their own class.
The work taught at TMDA has been produced incorporating the latest innovative street dance as seen in music video clips and movies.
Jazz classes include training of contemporary style which is a genre of dance that employs systems and methods found in modern and post modern dance. Contemporary dance draws on modern dance techniques as well as newer philosophies of movement that depart from classical dance techniques by altogether omitting structured form and movement. The students mainly study Cunningham and Graham technique.
TMDA students are studying Musical Theatre through the ATOD syllabus
